KING JAMES VERSION (KJV)

Luke

New Testament

According to Christian tradition, the authorship of the third gospel of the Bible, part of the New Testament, is attributed to Luke, who was a physician and traveling companion of Paul. In fact, among the many references that Paul made to Luke, in one of them he called him “beloved.” It is not known whether Luke was a Jew or a Gentile, but it is known that he lived in Antioch in Syria and is generally recognized as a Gentile.
