The book of Ezra is part of the Old Testament, and is a continuation of the second book of chronicles. Tradition attributes this book to Ezra, a scribe and priest, descendant of Aaron, who dedicated his life to studying and teaching the word of God during the Israelites’ exile in Babylon. However, there is still no consensus among scholars regarding its authorship.
